My Story
I was desperate. Hopeless. Faithless. One night in deep despair I found myself pleading with God to take me from this world. The next morning I joined my parents at Mass for only the first or second time ever.
It was during the first reading, the prophet Elijah’s words cut through my interior darkness and struck me like lightning. He echoed the exact words I had spoken only hours before as he prayed beneath the broom tree.
Not long after, the words of Father Pius came urging me to get up and eat just like the angels that ministered to Elijah. My life changed forever that day. God granted me the grace to be baptized as a Catholic two years later, and now I hope to pass on that gift that was given to me.
